1 year since our first post. 1 year filled with hopeful ideas and hard work. 1 year with unexpectedly amazing outcomes. 1 fashionably tasty year since Vogue Treats became a central focus of our lives.
Happy Anniversary to our blog and followers who have supported us throughout our journey here! Never have we thought that we would reach 11,000 followers in 10 years, but to do so in a single one is truly a dream becoming reality. There have been numerous moments of despair and uncertainty during this short year, but we are still here today, celebrating because of you. Each and every one of you has contributed to this process through clicking the like button, reading a post, scrolling through our pictures, commenting, reaching out to us etc. Due to your contribution, we are still here today writing this post to acknowledge you for assisting the growth of this website.
To celebrate our accomplishment we wanted to create a rather unique post including both of our domains, fashion, and food. Although not part of the Vogue Treats’ original recipes, fries and milkshakes turned out to be the perfect combo for our anniversary. With that said, we can now resume with explaining fashion side of this post.
Our two outfits were the unusually fun part of the evening. Since the basis of our blog was a random brainstorming session in the middle of the night, we decided to recreate that spontaneous feeling on a whole new level: evening gowns at In-N-Out.
With Francesca’s outfit, we decided to take a fashion-forward approach. What someone would believe to be an elegant, vintage, drop waist teal dress, we paired with accessories that brought it into the contemporary world of fashion. First off, the black belt embellished with silver stars added a glamorous rock ‘n roll aspect to the look. Additionally, the black high sock heeled ankle boots complemented the belt to build on to that “reckless” glam type of look. And to complete the outfit, she chose a pair of statement earrings which played part into turning a classic 20s inspired dress into a complete modern outfit.
To contrast it, Anna went for a more elegant, princess gown look. First, short contextualization of how we chose our outfits. Both looks were based around this gorgeous teal Monique Lhuillier gown. Once we saw it, we knew there wouldn’t be a more perfect opportunity to wear it than our one year anniversary. However, instead of creating a classic elegant outfit, we accessorized the dress in such way as to bring it into a fun, fresh zone. As we both wanted to have similar color schemes, we chose a pair of pointed block-heeled black shoes for this outfit. Since the gown is already extravagant, we went light on accessories and decided on a colorful pair of statement earrings that also matched the gold stars and pink lipstick that she wore for makeup.
Finally, although our outfits had different styles, we both opted for the color teal and a pair of statement earrings. In essence, this is what our blog is also about–creating distinct outfits which speak to each one of our followers’ personalities. Thank you all again for making this experience worthwhile. To many more year, Vogue Treaters!
