There’s nothing like a hot summer day spent with your family. This past week we visited our grandparents birth place in the beautiful countryside of Romania.
As the days shorten, we know that summer is coming to an end, thus making our adventurous escapades to the lake less and less often. With that said, for this week’s outfit post, we prepared a very minimalistic look which works perfectly for a last-minute trip to the beach or an end of the summer pool party.
You should never forget that black as a base cannot do you wrong. For a neutral swimsuit, black tends to be a good choice as it flatters most silhouettes and, rumour has it, it attracts the sun; so, if you’re in it for a nice tan, black should be your color choice. As a one piece with high cut hip, our swimsuit gives off a vintage vibe with the ruffles adding a more modern element. To bring back that beautiful image of bohemian 80s and 90s, we used a vintage button up floral dress as a cover up. The multicolored pattern of this cover up helps balance out the dark pigment of the black. For accessories, we decided to go simple and add a solid pop of color with the red lenses. As if the look wasn’t fun enough already, we decided to style the hair in space buns.
Being done with our outfit description, we’d like to give a shoutout to our little niece who looks adorable in this pink flamingo patterned swimsuit. Since she can’t leave the house without looking fashionable, we accessorized her outfit with a tiny matching hat.
Although this outfit was more on the simplistic side, we hope you were inspired to contrast some high fashion multicolored patterns with a dark swimsuit for your next beach trip. We’ll be back soon with new outfits that will put an end to summer this year. See you then, VogueTreaters!
