Hot Pink in Palm Springs

And there it was: the hot pink dress in front of the desert’s Bar.

Palm Springs is a center of diversity and color. Walking around every corner in downtown, you find pop-up art expositions, festivals, interesting bars, restaurants etc. To be able to match the unique air of the city, you need an equally creative and bright outfit. Bold colors are in! Of course for this outfit, the central garment would be the fuchsia dress. In order to lower the formality of the dress and bring it into a contemporary style, we added the tan and black dress shirt as an undergarment. One reason for this choice was to tone down the impact of the mass of fuchsia in this outfit. However, in order to tie it all together, we needed some accessories and shoes that would match with the shirt. For shoes, we decided on a simple pair of black heeled sock boots. In comparison, the black fanny pack with gold, fuchsia, and lilac details was a lucky improvisation. Taking a small handbag and the belt from the dress, we created a fanny pack thinking that it will add more of a street style vibe to the outfit.
