Bringing back the glitter, bows, and ruffles.. that’s what we decided to do today. A week ago we created this look for a high school dance, but today we’re introducing this glamorous and fun outfit with a new purpose.
Last year for Galentine’s day, we made a post portraying the perfect day in: face masks, balloons, popcorn, and comfy slippers. Well, this year, we are doing the exact opposite. This is the perfect look for a night out with your gals!
For the piece of resistance (you should really attempt saying that with a French accent), we chose a petrol colored sequin dress. Even more, the dress is composed of black bows on the straps, low-cut back, and an adorable ruffle on the bottom. Since we thought that black shoes would darken the outfit too much, we decided to pair the dress with silver heeled sandals. As for accessories, we chose to go with earrings and a small bag. The earrings, more exactly, the hoops, matched the silver on the sandals. Additionally, the velvet embellished bucket bag tied all the items together into a cohesive look. With a similar shade as the dress and silver details, the bag succeeds to complete the outfit.
Not only do we integrate many details that one wouldn’t combine together in a single outfit, but we also have a couple of separate trends and outfit posts that relate to different aspects of this look. If you are interested in more glitter, you may want to look at our ( Back to the 80s) as well as some of our newest outfit posts: ( Sweet Sixteen , Glitter on glitter ) In the case of ruffles, a while ago, we created a trend entitled ( Ruffles Trend ) while that post will give you examples of clothing items with ruffles, you might also want to scroll through these outfits to find more ideas on how to build a cohesive look with them: (Ruffle on Ruffle).
See you soon, VogueTreaters
