24 more hours until we enter a new year full of hopes and dreams. We will all begin yet another 365 days with new resolutions, unexpected and expected outcomes. Focusing on the unexpected part, we came up with a completely new vision for the breathtaking scenery of the desert: glamorous outfits that incorporate the New Year’s traditional glitter.
First off, we have the more elegant and bohemian, glam outfit. For this one, we acquired a gorgeous vintage Oscar de la Renta black sequin skirt. To bring this piece into a more contemporary zone, we chose a mesh black lace shirt with a black tank top underneath. Because the outfit contained little color, we chose to incorporate a pair of hot pink glitter boots which matched the colors used for my hair and makeup. Lastly, to further add more subtle pops of color, we used a pair of earrings that also matched the shade of pink in the outfit.
In our second outfit, we wanted to bring out an option for all the casual girls out there, but we did so with a sparkly twist. We turned the old denim on denim, to glitter on glitter. The black t-shirt dress with iridescent glitter was our central garment of the outfit. Additionally, we chose a pair of silver glitter pants that would match the details of the shoes and the handbag. To make this outfit more glamorous, we decided on a pair of black heeled sandals with silver applications in the front. Even so, we still saw it necessary to add some more shine for a full-on glitter on glitter look; thus, we used a pink glitter handbag which also contained similar sparkling details to the ones found on the shoes.
When the New Year is here, glitter is inevitable to avoid. So our advice is: just embrace it! Hopefully, you found some ideas that would help compose your outfit for the New Year’s party. Also, we’d love to mention how beautiful the desert scenery in Joshua Tree National Park is. If you’re ever considering a trip to the desert, you should definitely visit.
