Long time, no see, VogueTreaters! We’ve been keeping you up to date on our lives through our social media platforms, but it’s been a while since we wrote a post for the website. No worries though, we are back, strong as ever and with an even stronger outfit.
Our last posts back in February had two main elements, love (because February, month of love, Valentine’s Day, duh) and a Desert X exhibit. We got rid of the first element, but posed in yet another location on our Desert X tour: SPECTER. Sterling Ruby’s Specter, an orange, fluorescent monolith, was a gem in the middle of a desert landscape which deserved an outfit as eccentric as itself.
When we think colors, sunglasses, and fun patterns, our minds travel to one thing: summer. This is exactly what we wanted to create with this outfit, an image of a summer girl who is always ready to combine her fun and sexy sides for an adventure (a.k.a. random photoshoot in the middle of the desert).
Sometimes it might come as a challenge to accessorize a stand-alone piece such as this jumpsuit. The multicolored stripes, tied front and crop between the ribs might just be enough if you want to be bold for a day. Even so, don’t be afraid to find creative ways to accessorize. As it usually gets too hot for massive jewelry, we opted for silver hoops and overlapping dainty necklaces that can be paired with almost any outfit out there. Because you can never go wrong with belts, we chose one of our favorites for this outfit: black with silver stars. The silver stars match the rest of the accessories while the black goes with a few of the stripes as well as the shoes. As beautiful as these black platforms are, we advise you not to walk on them in this type of setting; it will be a challenge, and not one of the fun kinds. Despite the fact that Anna nearly twisted her ankles with every other step she made, these black heels were ultimately the missing puzzle piece to complete this badass look.
