Pink is not the new black, but it is certainly seen everywhere these days. One place in particular that caught our eye was this full-on pink Desert X exhibit. Not only is this sight the perfect location for pictures, but it also represents a historical piece of the Coachella Valley. Titled “Dive-in” this sight refers to the past of this region, when the valley we know now was submerged under water. If you want to check out Superflex’s beautiful structure, read this post for more pictures, jump in the car for a road trip, and visit the Desert X sights.
As we are still in February, we wanted to keep the romance in the air for a while, so we went with the color pink as our basis. A pink dress, a couple of shades lighter than the corral structure was, with a subtle satin flower print and plunging neckline became the focus of this look. As we wanted pink to be the pop of color, we went with mostly all black accessories. Black pleather jacket to give the outfit a more retro look, knee-high black boots and a long black tassel necklace contrasted the pink perfectly. In order to add one more pink detail, we chose a pair of clear sunglasses which gave the outfit that necessary extra accessory.
With both this outfit and Anna’s outfit, we wanted to have a vintage, kind of romantic, but also badass vibe. Although Valentine’s day has already passed, you should always make time to love yourself and spoil yourself through fashion; at least that’s what we like to do. Either way, we hope you enjoyed these two outfits and we can’t wait to make some other stops at the Desert X sights for more fabulous photoshoots. See you soon with another fashion post!
