I guess we must really be obsessed with doors… Our tour has expanded from the famous colorful dessert doors to a decades old work of art created from a broken heart.
I was very vague earlier, but behind the door that reads “I’m thinking about her nonstop” you find a love story that ended in a tragedy rather than a happy ending. Here’s a very condensed version of it.
To confess his love and bring the girl of his dreams back, the artist chose to display his feelings through his passion, art. But wait, there’s more. This door artwork is part of the 100 art installations project which the artist spread all around Romania. As much fun as it would be to visit all of them, we just got around to see this one door from Sibiu. It’s a highlight of the city and many people say that you’re not a real tourist unless you take a picture in front of it. So we took the picture and on to explaining the outfit.
Since this location has a romantic background, we wanted a sweet outfit that would match the message. Some of the elements that brought it into this romantic zone were the touches of bright red and off the shoulder statement shirt. Gingham, the print of the blouse is very popular now and you can check out our gingham trend to learn more. For pants I just decided on a pair of white shorts so it wouldn’t take away from the dramatic sleeves of the top. As for sandals, I chose crazy gladiator ones which have been one of my favorites this summer. To finish it off, I accessorized with a red bag which complimented the red on the sandals.
