It’s been a long time, but we return in force with an outfit post! With all the craziness of going back to school, little time was left for us to create new posts. Don’t you worry though, we promise it won’t happen again.
Sadly, as we also mentioned in our latest post, summer is slowly coming to an end. Because of that, we wanted to show you an idea of a transitional outfit which switches from the boldness of summer to the cozy colors of autumn.
Although the two dresses are not exactly the definition of a fall outfit, they are the perfect match for the beginning of this season. This look introduces lacy details in combination with an autumn color palette. In addition, the small polka dot pattern is a straightforward representation of our polka dot trend. Not only the print, but also the pleated material of the dresses, give these looks a unique vibe to them. However, the detail we thought helped depict the beginning of fall best was the small layering happening in the outfits. The dresses come with an undergarment that creates the illusion of having a second dress underneath. Since autumn is all about starting to layer garments in preparation for winter, we thought this would mark the perfect start for that.
Moving on to the ways you could accessorize the outfit. Because we wanted to put accent on the dresses, neither of the outfits has very elaborate accessories. We both wore sunglasses, but chose different styles of shoes. The way you can distinct our styles lays in how the two pairs of shoes were chosen. For the red dress, I wore a pair of black sneakers with white laced socks. In comparison, my sister interpreted her black dress with a pair of black sandals. This way, we took two dresses with few differences and each made an outfit of our own.
This post shows how an outfit can change from dressy to casual in only one minute. Due to this, you now have an example of how to change your all time favorite outfit to match your numerous varying moods. Believe us, it’s possible.
