Unfortunately, white Christmases do not happen in the desert. Even so, with all the downfalls of missing out on the winter magic, we can at least rely on fashion to bring some of that spirit in our lives. In comparison to last year’s outfits that inspired Christmas from every angle, this year’s outfits will focus more on depicting a beautiful winter wonderland.
As the icon, Marilyn Monroe, said herself, diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Even though we’ll only have diamond skirts in our dreams, sequins work just as well. Feeling as a French romantic roaming the streets of Paris, we chose a white, grey, and silver color scheme to represent the elegance of a Parisian winter.
First off, the central piece of this outfit was silver sequin skirt. With an intriguing cut and revealing slit, this garment is bound to win you hundreds of compliments at any holiday party. To make the skirt pop out even more, you should pair it with more of a neutral color, in this case white, as to not interfere with the vibrancy of your sequins. In terms of shoes, if you want to maintain this color scheme, we could have chosen either white or silver. As this pair of silver heeled sandals aren’t exactly adequate for the cold season, we decided to pair them with light gray long socks. For accessories, we didn’t want to overwhelm this incredibly sparkly outfit, therefore we went simple. A pair of silver hoops and a white beret will do any outfit justice.
